Maxime Lis
For its first collector edition, Oenofy partnered with French designer Maxime Lis to create an object that extends beyond its original function.
Known for his contemporary furniture inspired by historical references, Maxime Lis develops objects that explore materiality, proportion and permanence. His work reflects a dialogue between heritage and contemporary design, where every detail is considered with precision and purpose.
Designed to protect valuable objects through hidden compartments and ingenious mechanisms, these pieces combined discretion, craftsmanship and prestige.
Reinterpreted through a contemporary lens, this heritage became the foundation for Oenofy's first collector object: a piece conceived to house exceptional wines while remaining, long after the bottles have been enjoyed, an object worthy of being collected in its own right.
“From royal travel chests to contemporary collectors.”
Produced in France in a limited annual edition of up to fifty pieces, each Malle is handcrafted from carefully selected noble materials and requires specialist expertise in precision metalwork.
Its exterior is available in stainless steel or brass, with mirror, satin or black finishes. Each piece contains eight exceptional bottles, chosen through either the Château Selection, centred on the great wines of Bordeaux, or the Domaine Selection, dedicated to distinguished Burgundy estates. The final composition is individually curated and confirmed in the personalised proposal, while maintaining the intended balance between the object, the wines and the overall value of the Collection.
Designed to remain long after the wines have been enjoyed, the Malle des Secrets incorporates a concealed double-bottom compartment for personal keepsakes. Removable feet allow it to be transformed into a piece of furniture, while its architectural form also enables it to be displayed within an interior.
Each numbered piece is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the designer.
Detailed care instructions are provided upon delivery.
“Where wine becomes part of a collectible design object”
The Case 001 was conceived as an object designed to remain long after its original purpose has been fulfilled.
Oenofy and Maxime Lis imagined a collectible object whose function evolves over time. A hidden compartment preserves documents and personal keepsakes, while removable legs allow the Collection to become a discreet piece of furniture or a permanent object.
Wine marks the beginning of its story.
Every object is produced in France by specialist artisan workshops selected for their expertise in precision metalwork and fine cabinetmaking.
Each Collection is assembled by hand, inspected throughout production and individually finished before receiving its serial number and Certificate of Authenticity.
Production is intentionally limited to a maximum of fifty pieces per year, allowing every object to receive the attention required by its complexity.
“Designed to remain.”
Every Collection contains eight exceptional bottles selected specifically for the project. Clients may choose between two distinct philosophies.
The Château Selection brings together the great classified estates of Bordeaux.
The Domaine Selection focuses on some of Burgundy's most respected domaines.
Rather than reproducing a fixed list of wines, every Collection is individually composed according to availability, provenance, client preferences and long-term coherence. The wines illustrated throughout this website represent the intended level of each Collection and do not necessarily constitute its final composition.
“Crafted around wine.
Designed for a lifetime.”
